DATA PROTECTION
PRIVACY STATEMENT
SCOPE
This Privacy Statement informs users about the nature, extent and purposes of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider
BERING Time Aps; Skraenten 34; 6200 Aabenraa (DK); phone: +45 8816 9090; e-mail: info@beringtime.dk
on this website (hereinafter "site").
The legal bases of data protection can be found in the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (German Federal Data Protection Act - BDSG) and the Telemediengesetz (German Telecommunications and Media Services Act - TMG).
ACCESS DATA/SERVER LOG FILES
The provider (or its web space provider) collects data about every access to the site (known as server log files). The access data include:
Name of the web page accessed, file, date and time of the access, data volume transferred, notification of successful access, browser type together with version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the page previously visited), IP address and the requesting provider.
The provider uses the log data only for statistical analyses for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the site. The provider, however, reserves the right to review the log data subsequently if, based on concrete indications, there are reasonable grounds for suspecting unlawful use.
HANDLING PERSONAL DATA
Personal data involve information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes a person's name, e-mail address and telephone number. Personal data, however, also include data about preferences, hobbies, memberships and the web pages viewed by a person.
Personal data are collected, used and forwarded by the provider only if this is permitted by law or users consent to their data being collected.
Any personal information you provide when setting up your customer account and during the ordering process will be SSL encrypted (1024 Bit RSA keys in combination with a triple DES 1024 algorithm) before being transferred to our server. Bank card/credit card details will not be stored. They will be collected, processed, and encrypted by our online payment provider. Secure internet connections are characterised by the URL displayed in the browser bar beginning with “https://...” instead of “http://...” as well as a lock icon shown at the bottom right corner of the browser window.
CONTACT
When a user contacts the provider (for example, using the contact form or via e-mail), that user's details are stored in order to process the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.
INCORPORATING THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND CONTENT
Third-party content such as YouTube videos, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other web pages may be incorporated within this website. This is always conditional upon the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") being aware of the users' IP address, because, without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the respective user's browser. The IP address is therefore necessary for the presentation of such content. We endeavour to incorporate only content whose respective providers use the IP address merely to deliver the content. However, we have no control over third-party providers storing the IP address, say, for statistical purposes. Where we are aware of this, we inform users about it.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that enable specific, device-related information to be stored on the users' access device (PC, smartphone or such like). On the one hand, they make web pages more user-friendly, thereby benefiting users (e.g. by saving login data). On the other hand, they are used to record statistical data about website use and to analyse such data with a view to improving the site. Users can affect the way in which cookies are used. Most browsers have an option enabling the storage of cookies to be restricted or completely prevented. However, users' attention is drawn to the fact that use and, in particular, ease of use are restricted without cookies.
You can manage many online advertising cookies from companies via the American site www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files which are stored on users' computers and make it possible to analyse how they use the website. The information generated by the cookie about how users use this website is usually transmitted to, and stored on, a Google server in the USA.
However, in the event of the activation of IP anonymization on this website, Google will truncate users' IP address beforehand in member states of the European Union or in other states party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will users' full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymization is active on this website. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating how users use the site, compiling reports on website activities and providing the operator with other services relating to website and Internet usage.
Google Analytics will not combine the IP address transmitted by your browser with any other data held by Google. You may select a corresponding setting in your browser software to prevent cookies from being saved; please note, however, that, if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from recording data generated by cookies relating to your use of this website (including your IP address) and from processing such data by downloading and installing the browser plugin that is available from the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
By way of alternative to the browser-add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, please click on this link to prevent future acquisition of data by Google Analytics within this website. This will store an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click on this link again.
Use of Facebook social plugins
This site uses social plugins ("plugins") provided by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are identifiable by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on a blue tile or a "thumbs- up" sign) or are flagged by the phrase "Facebook social plugin". You can view the list and appearance of Facebook social plugins here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If users visit a page of this site that contains a plugin of this type, their browser will create a direct link to the servers of Facebook. Facebook will transmit the content of the plugin directly to their browser, which will integrate it into the web page. The provider therefore has no control over the amount of data that Facebook collects using this plugin and therefore informs users based on its state of knowledge:
The integration of the plugins enables Facebook to receive information that a user has visited the relevant page of the site. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his or her Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, by, for example, pressing the “Like” button or posting a comment, their browser will transmit the relevant information directly to Facebook, where it will be stored. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to discover and store his or her IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany.
Users can find out about the purpose and scope of data capture as well as the further processing and use of data by Facebook and related rights and setting options to protect user privacy in Facebook's privacy policy at: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about him or her via this site and to link such data to his or her member data stored at Facebook, he or she will need to log off from Facebook before visiting the website.
Another option is to use add-ons, such as "Facebook Blocker", to block Facebook social plugins for your browser.
This site uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons are made available by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They can be identified by terminology such as "Twitter" or "Follow", combined with a stylised blue bird. The buttons can be used to share a contribution or page of this site on Twitter or to follow the provider on Twitter.
If users visit a page of this website that contains a button of this type, their browser will create a direct link to the servers of Twitter. The content of the Twitter button is transferred directly by Twitter to the users' browser. The provider therefore has no control over the amount of data that Twitter collects using this plugin and informs users based on its state of knowledge. According to this knowledge, only the user's IP address and the URL of the relevant web page are transmitted when the Twitter button is used, and for no other purpose than to display the button.
Further information is available in Twitter's privacy statement at twitter.com/privacy.

REVOCATION, AMENDMENTS, RECTIFICATIONS AND UPDATES
